There are also multifocal lenses to help those with vision problems that occur with age, like presbyopia.

Contact lenses are very safe for healthy eyes. Though, there are many people that thrive from contact lenses they aren’t for everyone it is important to remember that there is a responsibility that comes with contact lenses. There are some cases where contact lenses may not be safe like:

  • If you’re prone to eye infections or allergic reactions
  • If you’re constantly in a polluted area
  • Work in an environment where smoke could cause irritation
